Why Centered Soul Counseling?
My goal is to provide you with the tools you need on your journey. …………
What to expect on the first visit?
The first appointment is an assessment. After completing paperwork regarding privacy, patient rights, informed consent, private pay, and practice policies, we will discuss your physical, and mental health as well as your social and developmental history. Additionally, we will discuss what brings you to therapy, discuss your goals, diagnosis, and recommended treatment modalities, and create a treatment plan or provide referral resources.
When do I pay?
As a private pay practice, a credit or debit card is required as well as a signed authorization to charge your card for each session. You will be expected to pay at the beginning of each visit.
What if I need to cancel?
I understand that life sometimes gets in the way. Please remember to cancel or reschedule 24 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment. If applicable, you will be charged a $50 fee if you no-show or cancel less than 24 hours in advance.
Can I be reminded of my appointment?
If you give consent, we will email and or text you a reminder.
What are the benefits of Private Pay?
No third-party involvement (like insurance), means your personal information isn’t shared with them. No diagnosis is required for treatment. Many insurance companies require a formal mental health diagnosis for coverage, whereas private pay allows therapy without labeling. Nothing has to go on your medical record.
